Shimazaki auditioned in the Avex Idol Audition. She however she didn't make it pass the third round.

On June 12 Shimazaki was announced to join Street-sei as part of the second generation.

On February 19 Shimazaki was announced that she would debut in iDOL Street's second major group Cheeky Parade.
